Trick or Treat

This year we were invited to our first ever Costume Party. Yes, we are that popular. *please note sarcasm* The theme of the evening was "pairs." I had seen this cute outfit for Max and JD already had gear to go with it. And that is where the "pair" turned into a family affair.

JD will be the Dallas Cowboy player.
Max will be the football.
Lily will be the Dallas Cowboy cheerleader.
And I will be the fan.

Easy enough. I made the kids costumes.

And bought a t-shirt for myself. And some face paint. The total cost for all four of us this year was less than $30. My shirt was by far the most expensive part. You wanna know the best part?? We won best costume at the party! Fun Fun!

Seriously....this is love. JD was still surprised on the way to the party that I had really done this. Guess he knows I am not one to step out of the box.

In other holiday news, Lily had her first party of the year at school. Aren't the kids in her class (and a couple of siblings) super cute?

Sunday afternoon we had our annual Fall Festival at church. For those not in the area, JD was on TV! You can see the commercial HERE. Can you believe we had 4,300 this year!! WOW!

We walked around with friends. Here are the BFFs.

And the little guy was able to ride around with me for 3 hours. He was just perfect all night. It was too cold to sport the football again. He wore the same pumpkin Lily did on her first Halloween.

Monday night we went trick or treating for the first time. It took some time to grasp how it all works, but when it does, we get a bag FULL of candy! Yum!

Way too cute! You are so creative and what a cute, family event for all. Sometimes it is fun to get out of the box. We had over 1300 at our trunk or treat event which was a WOW for us as well.
