Rhonda's Birthday

Rhonda decided that this year she wanted to plan a girls night in for her birthday. She planned a craft for the group to do after we ate all the yummy treats. It was a fun night IN with friends.

We made "nail art." First you pick your design of choice. We all did our favorite state.

Pick up your hammers. 

And outline your shape with nails. We put a heart over 'our' city too. 

It was a bit noisy, but a great way to get any tension out. 

 It was a dirty project too. (You can see my favorite state has not changed.)

Then you take some embroidery floss and start stringing. 

 Most of us didn't have time or enough floss to finish, so this is as "finished" as they got that night. (Mine is 4th from the left--I'm not the only one with love for the Lone Star State.)

Such a fun night crafting and chatting with friends. Love doing something a little different!

Easter Weekend

We started the weekend with an egg hunt with some friends. Lots of candy and games.

Sat night I got the kids' baskets all ready.

Sunday we headed to worship. This year I had an "a-ha" moment and decided to make an Easter playlist. We always play Christmas music, so why not musically celebrate Easter too?!? We worshipped the couple of weeks prior to the holiday every time we got in the car. It was awesome to celebrate for more than the hour at church. That is what we are to do, right? Our lives should be continually worshipping God. Amen.

Each year we spend the Easter afternoon with our "lunch bunch". Love love these families God has allowed us to do life with.

Spring Break at the Bowling Alley

Spring break weather was cooler than we would have liked for outside play dates, so we made the most of it and headed to the bowling alley one day. The kids had a fun time and it was fun to enjoy the company of adults!
