Four Months

It is so hard to believe that 1/3 of this first year is complete. We love having sweet Tres in the family. I mean, how can you not love this face?

He is pretty predictable still. He eats every three hours, starting between 8-9 every morning. He eats 5, sometimes 6 times a day. He continues to be a "spitter".

He is still napping after every feeding. He goes down for the night around 10 each night. He will sometimes wake up around 7am, but will complain with his eyes closed. We just pop his paci back in and he sleeps for another hour or so.

He is starting to roll onto his side more. We are waiting for the day he rolls all the way over.

In the process of all the rolling, he found his feet and loves his new toy.

We love how he smiles and just loves his family. He has the sparkle in his eye that Lily had as a baby. And those baby giggles are becoming more frequent too.

He is pure joy!

Unfortunately, he is following in big sis's footsteps in regards to wheezing. That landed us in the doc's office one Sunday for a couple of breathing treatments which turned into every four hours for a few days and an oral steroid. Babies and steroids. Not a week I want to repeat any time soon. We are thankful we are able to see our doc on Sundays if needed so we can stay out of the ER. And even more thankful the Lord healed his lungs quickly.

Baby Dedication

As we did with the other two kids, we brought Tres before the church body and presented him to the Lord, committing to raise him in the ways of the Lord. The church body was also challenged to come alongside of us as we raise him.

The verse we chose for Tres is Psalm 22:30-31 (TLB). It reads "Our children too shall serve him, for they shall hear from us about the wonders of the Lord; generations yet unborn shall hear of all the miracles he did for us."

Our babies are miracles. All of them stemming for circumstances we would never have dreamed of. For those reasons, we want generations to come to know of the work the Lord has done in our lives. We pray Tres will grow up to love the Lord with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength. We also want him to share with others all that the Lord has done.

After losing a baby so late in my pregnancy, I remind myself that the Lord's ways are higher. And if we had not lost that baby, we would not have our precious Tres. I KNOW the Lord will use him!

Lily took some pics for us on our camera. She got pretty artsy.

Three Months

Precious little one is awake more these days. It is fun to start to see a bit of personality come out.

Unfortunately, he was sick a bit. Isn't this pitiful?

He continues to eat every 3 hours during the day. He usually has between 5-6 feedings each day.

He still falls asleep while eating.

He is sleeping all night still and napping between each feeding.

He is smiling more and more. He can light up a room with his huge smile.

Spring Break at Home

Time for a break from school. We need one!

We weren't out and about, but we did some fun things around the house.

Hair

Rainbow Loom

Cookies

Snuggles

Quiet Time Turned Nap Time

It was a good we to relax and enjoy each other without the stress of school.

Two Months

It's amazing how these first two months fly by. I think it has a lot to do with my lack of sleep. I feel like a zombie most days. But so thankful that at week 7 Tres started sleeping through the night--as in 8 hours! It makes me a brand new Momma!

He likes to be swaddled--arms out--with his face in the side of the bed.

He continues to eat like a champ. He nurses every 2.5-3 hours. During the day. And he will even take a bottle...from Momma! This is not the norm, but he was eating when I got home one day so we decided to see if he would take it from me. Success.

Thankful he will take a bottle since my freezer is already filling up.

Tres is so laid back. He rarely fusses. It makes life so much easier. We are happy to be seeing his smiles and personality starting to come out.

He is starting to play more and enjoy his mat.

After delivery, I never saw my doc again. Therefore I snapped a pic of him at my follow-up appointment. Thankful for this man! He has walked this journey with us and I am so glad he was able to be with us on Tres' birthday.

Random, just because pics.

Once again, I had a little photo shoot outside to celebrate 2 months.

One Month

We are loving all the snuggles we are getting from our sweet Tres. Unfortunately, most of these snuggles are in the evening. The big kids keep me busy so I savor all the love I can get in the evenings.

Tres is eating every 3 hours during the day and going about 5 at night, usually just waking once to eat. He then goes right back down without a fuss. He is sleeping in the pack-n-play in our room which makes it easy to hear him and easy for everyone to go right back to sleep. It is also helpful with all the company we have had.

He still loves his sleep and continues to sleep most of the day away.

He has been such a great baby making the transition to 3 kiddos easier than I expected. He just fills my love tank every day.

Two Weeks

Once we arrived home, there were 4 adults taking care of 3 kids. Pretty easy, right? But on the day Mimi and Pop were to return home, JD was going to go back to work. I was so overwhelmed with going from tons of help to me all by myself. I had not talked to anyone about it, but out of the blue Pop asked me if I wanted them to stay longer. What a blessing!! Yes, please! So, so thankful for an extra few days to learn this new norm with some extra hands. Unfortunately, Pop came down with a cold and wasn't feeling so great for a few of those extra days.

We had to bribe Max with M&Ms to get in this pic. He's having a bit of a time adjusting, but nothing I didn't expect.

First home bath.

 He loves it! {insert sarcasm}

Tres is eating every 3ish hours. Sometimes will go 4 hours at night. He's not on a schedule per-se. And he sleeps the other 20 hours a day. Seriously, he loves his sleep.
