He loves to wave at everyone. He has even said "bu bu" while waving. Maybe he's brilliant. Maybe it's just a coincidence. But he seems to know what he is saying. Why can't he say mama or dada first? He may not be saying words, but he has found his loud boy voice, yelling all his sounds.
One day we were outside playing. Here he is saying he is "all done" taking a picture. At least he is not screaming!
He plays well on his own. But instead of sitting and playing quietly, he has already shown his boy side here as well.
Before you know it, the toys are turned upside down.
He is really on the move! He started crawling! He was moving backwards at first, which really frustrated him since he can't see where he is going. And it puts him up against a wall. Poor thing. I tried several times to get video with no luck. So sad.
But he finally figured it out and is now heading in the right direction.
He is sleeping well at night now--from 9pm-7 or 8 am. He is taking two naps each day. He sleeps from 10-12 and again from 3-5. It fits just perfectly into our carpool routine which makes life so much easier that I no longer have to wake him up as I did in the early days. He sits with us as we read Bible stories each night with Lily. Here she is reading to him.
She loves to go in and play right after he wakes up.
He is nursing well. He has just started to wean to 4 feeds a day. He is dropping the dinner time feed and is now taking solids at that time. Speaking of solids, this boy has just started to enjoy solid food. I have been surprised that he has not wanted to eat solids. Lily was ready at 6 months and he has been completely disinterested until about 2 weeks ago. Now he is all in and loving it! This pic is at the beginning of the month before he enjoyed the bananas.
Unfortunately, he had to have another round of antibiotics. What started as a cold ended up as a never ending cough that continued to get worse. But he is a champ when it comes to taking meds.
